Since 2022, the PIs have offered the Water Research Workshop to local high school students in the area of Central New York. For the academic year 2025-2026, the PIs will provide (i) a series of lectures about the importance of water quality, current environmental challenges with water contamination and scarcity issues, and the state-of-the-art in water-related research, (ii) hands-on-type laboratory experience, including the opportunity to present their results, and (iii) a field trip to the local Metropolitan Syracuse Wastewater Treatment Pant.
